School starts on MONDAY, and we couldn't be more excited to kick off an incredible year with you and your family! It was wonderful to see so many of our amazing students and families at our mini-reunions earlier this weekâthank you to everyone who joined us!
The rest of this email contains important details about the first day and week of school, so please read on carefully! Every email update I have sent this summer can also be found below. Whether you are a newly registered family, or you missed my email. We want you to have all the important details!
The weather should be nice Monday morning. Students may arrive to East Ward at any time after 8:30 AM. We will begin to move to homerooms at 8:55 AM. The
first few days, all East Ward staff will be
on the blacktop playground to greet students, and help them get to their homeroom line. While many wish their children off at the bus stop, those who come to school, we ask that caregivers
remain on the sidewalk near the playground, and not on the playground area where children are. All EW staff will have an EW t-shirt on and will be happy to help. At
8:54 AM, the bell will ring, and teachers will begin to make their way to homeroom.
A reminder about our School Day Schedule:
- 8:30am - students begin arriving
- 8:54am- Bell rings, students to homerooms
- 9:00am - Official school start time (students must be in their homeroom at this time)
- 11:55am - dismissal for AM Kindergarten
- 12:40pm - official start time for PM Kindergarten, students should arrive by 12:35pm
- 3:35pm - dismissal for all students
