BFH Falcons' View
May 12 to 16, 2025

Principal's Message,
Dear Falcon students and families,
I hope you all had an excellent Mother's Day weekend and were able to get outside to enjoy some sun (despite the smoke) and honour those amazing women who do so much for our families! This past week saw our students running through a flurry of activities. Our AP students completed the first round of AP exams, our students were involved in numerous trips and activities. Some of our students attended the SKILLS competition, and our Rugby, Soccer, and Slow Pitch teams were all in full season swing this past week continuing their strong play. Our Falcon eSports team travelled to the Alberta Championships, and our Bev Facey Boys & Girls Team Handball squads were amazing capturing a championship and a Bronze Medal.
The week ended on Friday last week with our F.L.I. students treating our 2025 Grads to a pizza party, mask decorating (for the Facey Formal), and some fun games in their Senior Sunset evening. It was a great chance for our grads to have some fun with the students they have worked along side for the last three years or longer!
We will be hosting our last monthly Bev Facey School Council meeting of the year next Tuesday, May 20 at 6:00 p.m. in the library, and I would like to invite any interested parents to join us. It should also be noted that our Bev Facey Musical theatre students have been working exceptionally hard on their production of "Mamma Mia". The show is shaping up to be an amazing experience and I want to encourage everyone to come out and support this incredible show at Festival Place during the week of May 19 to 22. Tickets can be purchased through the Box office at Festival Place.
I also would like to encourage parents to get involved with our amazing school council's staff recognition initiative, coming up on June 4, 2025. They are planning a barbecue for staff at the school as a gesture of appreciation. Please check out the information on how to get involved by volunteering or contributing below.
I hope you all have an amazing week ahead and, as always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Falcon's Rock ASAA Team Handball Provincials!
Our Senior Falcon Handball teams had a phenomenal ASAA provincial weekend! Our Senior Girls are the undisputed 2025 Provincial Champions defeating Salisbury Composite in a closely contested final. While our Sr. Boys narrowly missed the final by one goal and became the 2025 Provincial Bronze Medalists! Fantastic season for both of these teams, they conducted themselves exceptionally well and were amazing representatives of Facey Athletics!

Starting on April 22, access these 15-minute videos for most courses, that focus on practicing and preparing to answer free-response and multiple-choice questions on AP Exams.
AP Daily: Practice Sessions focus on providing students with practice on free-response and multiple-choice questions, with the aim of helping them get familiar with the types of questions they’ll see on exam day.
- Every video will be approximately 15 minutes long and be released in AP Classroom and on YouTube.
- All videos will remain accessible through the AP Exam administration so that students can watch at times that work best for them.
- Free Resources to Prepare for AP Exams https://blog.collegeboard.org/free-resources-prepare-ap-exams
Students are required to adhere to the AP Terms and Conditions in effect on the day of the test. Please visit this page https://apstudents.collegeboard.org/exam-policies-guidelines/terms-conditions before the test day to review any changes. Any updates will be clearly communicated on this page.
All AP Exams will be conducted in the Bev Facey library, Room 280, and Room 281. Mandatory practice login sessions for all students registered for AP exams have been held over the past two weeks, If you have not attended a session please reach out to Mr. Lawlor or Mrs. Peddle to do so.
💻 At the Sessions students were guided through a practice login to Bluebook, making sure that they were comfortable with their College Board account login and password, so they would all be set for the upcoming AP exam days.
Why is this important?
Attendance at one of these sessions was and is required to ensure a smooth experience on exam day. We want you to feel prepared and confident!. Students are advised to arrive at the designated exam location 20 minutes prior to the start time of their exam.
