Welcome back to a new school year! I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable summer. As we embark on this exciting journey together, I am thrilled to share our new school motto: Exceed. Achieve. Succeed. Together. This motto, which forms the acronym EAST, perfectly captures our collective commitment to excellence, growth, and unity as a school community.

This year, we will focus on exceeding our expectations, achieving our goals, and succeeding in every endeavor—both individually and as a team. By working together, we can create a learning environment where every student feels supported and empowered to reach their fullest potential.

I’m confident that with this new guiding principle, we will continue to build on the success of previous years and make this one of our best years yet.

Here’s to a fantastic year ahead at EAST!

Before teachers and staff returned to school, they were asked to write some Words of Wisdom for this new school year. This display was created in our main hallway to inspire everyone at East each day! Students and parents will have an opportunity to add to the wall on Meet the Teacher night!

• My WHY: The children and their families in our school community and being able to assist them both here at school and outside of school with our network of staff members through our community resources.

Meet the Teacher on Thursday is a good time to meet the school nurse and drop off any necessary medications!

The Ozark East PTA will be available at Meet the Teacher Night! You will be able join PTA, buy one of their new shirts, or find out more information on how you can volunteer! There is an upcoming Back to School Bash at the OC next Friday, August 23! Check out their Facebook page for more information!

Ms. Mary Jo was recognized at the district wide meeting on Tuesday as The Support Staff of the Year Operations and Business DIvision. We are so lucky to have her in our front office! You also might recopnize Dr. Sappington, Former East principal. He won Leader of the Year for his work throughout our district.

• Enter the parking lot (on the west side) on Hartley Street
• Snake around spaces and continue out of the new lot going straight into the driveway of the original lot (on the east)
• Snake around spots in this lot too
• Pull around to the loading area to drop off/pick up your child
• Exit by making a right into the new lot and driving around the perimeter to the same entrance/exit you entered the lot
• Please be sure to leave as little of a gap as possible with the car in front of you in order to avoid cars being backed up on Hartley Street
• When loading and unloading your child, pull all the way up to designated cone areas
