Hello Woodsy Owls,
I would like to start this newsletter with telling everyone how incredibly grateful I am for the Sierra Hills Elementary School Community. This school is a very special place. A staff of teachers that are all caring and loving professionals that not only know their craft but show up every single day determined to help move ALL of our littles forward in their educational journey. I am also grateful for a district office and Superintendent that place the safety, education, and personal growth of your students at the very top of their priorities. I cannot begin to thank our classified staff for all they do to make Sierra Hills Elementary School the special place it is. From our wonderful kitchen, custodial, and maintenance staff that ALWAYS put student safety first to the paraprofessionals that work directly with the students assisting wherever needed, we are blessed. I have never seen nor heard of a school that has so many wonderful volunteers. Our classroom volunteers, Sight Word Busters, Site Council Members, and PTC volunteers make this community the gold nugget of the foothills.
Above all I would like to thank the families of this community. Your children are amazing, and you are the reason why. Your kindness and cooperation is seen. I am ever so amazed that everyone in that wonderful after school pick-up line, smiles at me and waves. In a situation where some would be upset and angry, I see happiness and joy. I am so grateful for the Sierra Hills Elementary School Community.
I want to remind families that we are still having students sign-up for participation in the Kids' Heart Challenge. As I come from a family that is very much concerned with privacy and not giving out information to random sources, I looked into the registration process. You can sign up your student without listing a last name. You can sign up with just an initial for the last name of both the student and yourself. You do have to use a real email address, so I do understand if you want to avoid that. Phone number is optional. So for those of you not wishing to give out you student's last name, there is an option.
Thanks for everything, and may we have a beautiful week.
It truly takes a village.
Have a great day!

Sierra Hills Elementary School November Menus
Please remember to let your little know what is on the menu. Sometimes, they change their mind when they get to school and find out that they really love or don't really like what the daily offering is.
As always, in California these meals are free to all students.
