Grant Line Buzz
March 31 - April 4, 2025
A Note from Mrs. Satkoski.....
1 - A lot of students are buying extra snacks and then not eating their lunch (cookies, rice krispie treats, etc.).
2 - A lot of students who bring their lunch often throw away items they don't even open or touch. We try to catch this prior to them throwing it all away, but we cannot catch them all!
As a parent myself, I know food is expensive and I'm sure you'd like to know if they are just throwing away good food! If you can talk to your students about this, it may save you some money and also might give you some insight on what they are eating at school.
Lost and Found
We have had SO much lost and found this year. Mrs. Goodman and Mrs. Shields (art and music teachers) put them on hangers and EVERY art class she shares the lost and found with students. At the end of every quarter we donate the items leftover to the Wishing Well on Grant Line Road. We usually have adults in the building from 7:30 - 3:30 if you would like to check out the lost and found as well.

Counselor's Corner
Our topic in guidance for the month of April is College and Career Readiness. Believe it or not, these important life skills are taught beginning in elementary school. We will spend the next 4 weeks discussing what they like to do, what they are good at, work habits and team work.
Blessings in a Backpack:
We will meet at 2:30 pm after school on Thursday, April 3, 2025 to pack blessings bags. Please let me know if you would like to help.
Mentors:
We are in need of adults to mentor students here at Grant Line. If you or someone you know is interested, please call Lisa MCCory at 812-542-5707.
Have a great weekend,
Lisa McCory, Counselor
