IE Venture Network
EVERY THURSDAY SINCE 2011. Pioneering Entrepreneurship.
Venture Network Area 31, February 27th @7pm
Venture Network, an informal weekly pitch slam, is an invaluable resource for early stage entrepreneurs. Venture Network is a forum in which you can engage with the entrepreneurial community, promote your startup, and have the opportunity to pitch before a panel of investors & entrepreneurs. Venture Network is unique in that it is a very informal gathering where startups can meet investors in a casual setting over beers and snacks and focus on what’s important: building relationships. Venture Network is a great way to perfect your pitch, get feedback on your product, and meet the local startup community.
Venture Network's jury this week includes:
Alvaro Bernad , MIDE Global
Javier Sanchez Pita, Nokia
José Antonio Carpintero , fondo Seed CDC
The two startups that will present their project in 7 minutes are:
PayByFace, Radu Jibotean
Innovative cardless digital payment processing - Carrying your debit and credit cards everywhere you go can easily be lost or stolen. With PayByFace it’s like an Uber app for making payments when you go shopping! Once you setup your PayByFace account you no longer need to carry your phone, cards or cash! Simply use our proprietary cardless payment merchant kiosk device directly at the store and just use your face recognition to purchase stuff at participating merchants around town.
iCommunity Labs, Luis Couto
We make possible Digital Transformation for companies by a Blockchain 'SaaS' (verticals) & APIS platform, to solve problems related to the lack of trust, transparency and traceability that exists actually with many of products/services.
Our products are about: certification of digital contents (documents, contracts, events), traceability (logistics, production, manufacturing, origin, etc.), process automation (by smart contracts) and asset tokenization.
Our business model is based on SaaS model (subscription licensing for APIs and revenue share for SaaS verticals). We have several paying customers, but no recurrent yet because they are as result of several win challenges of corporates by open innovation processes. Our next objective is to scale-up our products (SaaS verticals and APIs).
