Townhall at HSMS
At HSMS, we love celebrating our students! Every month, we hold Townhalls to recognize those who show positive traits and good behavior. This month, we focused on inclusivity and honored students who make everyone feel welcome. Our school band played some great music, and the PTO gave out prizes to students with no tardies. Ms. Day also handed out Halloween candy, adding to the fun. These Townhalls help us build a positive and inclusive school environment that we are very proud of. Below are some photos of our monthly townhall. Next month we will recognize students who are motivated!
Rival Week at HSMS!
At HSMS, Rival Week is a special time for building community and unity. As the only middle school in Aiken County that feeds into two rival high schools, we embrace this unique opportunity. Last Friday, students from both high schools’ band, cheer, volleyball, and football teams visited us. They talked with our students about participating in these activities, gave high fives, and even helped open car doors. The excitement was contagious as HSMS students showed their spirit by wearing either NAHS or MVHS colors to support their favorite team. This event not only fosters school pride but also strengthens our community bonds.
Bullying Policy
At Highland Springs Middle School, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for all our students. To ensure that every child feels secure and respected, we have implemented a comprehensive bullying policy. This policy outlines our approach to preventing and addressing bullying, including clear definitions, reporting procedures, and consequences for those who engage in such behavior.
We believe that by working together, we can foster a positive school culture where every student can thrive. Please take a moment to review the key points of our bullying policy below and discuss them with your child. Your support is crucial in helping us maintain a safe and welcoming school community.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to our students’ well-being.
Sincerely,
Paige Day
