Welcome to the SES Weekly E-News
HELLO Week
We are wrapping up HELLO Week at SES! Throughout the week, we have discussed what it means to be an Upstander. This means to do what is right. It also means to stand up and not stand by and watch others be unkind. We discussed how students should be sure to report when they see these things happening. Big shout out to our PTA for decorating for Hello Week. Also, thank you to families for sending their kiddos dressed up to show the importance of the week.

PTA Information
We are thrilled to announce the winners of our Teacher Grant Drawing! As a token of our deep appreciation for all that they do, and for the incredible support they have shown during the PTA Membership Drive, we are excited to award $125 reimbursement grants to eight lucky teachers—four from each campus. We truly value the dedication, hard work, and care that they bring to class every day, and this is one small way we can give back!
Here are our winners and their plans for the grant funds:
Cynthia Knight (Pre-K)
Grant Use: In order to enhance my Pre-K reading/listening corner, purchase a YOTO audio player for my students to easily control and enjoy during center time.Erin Johnson (1st Grade)
Grant Use: A listening center for our rotations. At least one CD/cassette player (ideally 2), headphones, and a splitter to be able to plug a few pairs of headphones into the same player.Melissa Milton (Pre-K Para) Grant Use: Purchase thematic canvas backdrops that we can use as the dramatic play center changes. As we follow the curriculum, we are hoping to create an apple orchard, pumpkin patch, police and fire station, flower shop, bakery and so many more.
Kelly Dodson (Librarian) Grant Use: Purchase 4-5 book-themed games for the library.
Thank you all once again for your dedication and support of the Sunnyvale PTA. We are so excited to give back to our wonderful teachers!
