The Stingray Review
Seaside Elementary
We have had a lot of amazing things going on at Seaside Elementary! Our students and teachers are working so hard. Lots of great growth is going on with our students as they continue to put in the hard work that is needed. Our Boosterthon fundraiser has been a big hit and our students are going to be doing their fun run on Wednesday, November 8. We thank you so much for your support of our fundraiser. We also have our Veterans Day Breakfast and Veterans Day Program this Friday, November 10. Our third and fourth graders will be putting on this program. We will be honoring all Veterans on this day. It starts at 9 A.M. and if you have a student performing you are more than welcome to come watch. I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe weekend! Don't forget, Daylight Savings Time ends on Sunday, Nov. 5. At 2:00 a.m. clocks are turned backward 1 hour to 1:00 a.m. We will see everyone back at school on Monday, November 6.

Attendance Information
Arrival and Dimissal Reminders!
Our doors open for our students at 7 A.M.
- Breakfast begins at 7 A.M. and ends at 7:35 A.M.
- Tardy bell rings at 7:40 A.M. (Please make sure you are on time.) Our car rider line is empty from 7-7:25. Everything starts to pick up right at the last 15 minutes.
- Dismissal is at 2:40. If you are picking up in the car rider line, please have your car rider tag on your dash board the entire time or you will be asked to park and come to the front office.
Attendance Matters!
Research shows that consistent attendance is a critical piece of student success. Absences with doctor notes (medical, eye, dentist) will be marked as medically excused. If absent due to death in the family an obituary or memorial information is needed to excuse for bereavement.
If any of the following occur Horry County Schools requires an attendance meeting to implement an AIP (Attendance Intervention Plan):
- 3 consecutive unexcused absences
- 5 accumulative unexcused absences
- 10 unexcused tardy/early sign-outs
Morning Car Rider Line
The following was sent out this week, thank you to parents who were in the car line earlier this week! We are still seeing a large empty time in our car line.
Good Evening Parents/Guardians,
I am sending this message out in hopes that we can have our students here before 7:40 A.M. Our car rider line starts at 7 A.M. The car rider line is empty from 7 till 7:25 A.M. Right at that last 10 to 15 minutes is where everything gets really busy. We are having lots of students who would normally be tardy, but I have noticed these last two instructional days that it has been so bogged down with traffic that I have allowed students not to be tardy. Please help us out in the morning and come earlier so when the bell hits at 7:40 A.M. all of our students will be in the building. This way our instruction can start on time. I appreciate all of your help with this. Have a great evening!
Sincerely,
Andrew Ball Ed.D

We love having parents coming to eat with their child. Please sit with your child at the tables that have been put out for parents. Please make sure to not travel anywhere else but to the lunch room and back down to the office. Parents are not allowed to walk around with or without their student around the building unsupervised.Thank you for your attention to this!
Thank you for your help!
Students will only be allowed to eat with their parent. Please do not have a friend come to sit with you and your child. Please do not photograph any other children other than your child. We have a do not photograph list and we have students who cannot be photographed.
