Daily School Attendance Matters

This past month our school had an attendance rate of 94%. Our school goal is to have at least 96% of our students in school every day. Thank you for helping us get our CUBS to school every day!

Hispanic Heritage Month

National Hispanic Heritage month is September 15 through October 15. A selection of fiction books with Hispanic main characters, as well as nonfiction books and biographies that celebrate Hispanic traditions, holidays, culture, achievements, and contributions of Hispanic Americans are available for students to check out. Parents may also find additional resources to use at home by clicking below.

Complete Your McKinney ISD Volunteer Background Check - NO Grace Period

Interested in volunteering in McKinney ISD for the 204-2025 school year? Volunteer applications are being accepted for the upcoming school year. McKinney ISD requires all volunteers complete the required volunteer process each school year. Please note, MISD will not have a grace period this year for volunteers to complete their annual background check. This means you must apply and wait for your approved background check before you can volunteer on campus for the 24-25 school year.


All volunteers with McKinney ISD agree to a background check each school year prior to beginning volunteer duties. McKinney ISD is dedicated to making sure that all students have the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and secure environment.


The volunteer application process is just one effort used by the school administration to help make our schools safe.


VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS MAY TAKE UP TO TWO WEEKS TO BE PROCESSED.


To apply, click the link below and select the School or schools of your choice. An email account is required for notification purposes. Once your volunteer application is processed and the criminal background check is complete, you will receive an e-mail notification regarding your application from the MISD Human Resources department.
