Lenski Weekly Update
January 17th, 2025
From the Principal's Desk
Happy Friday, Superstars!
This week, we hosted our monthly Town Hall meetings. Our focus was on goal-setting. Make sure to ask your student what goal they have set for themselves this month. Ms. Lessman’s goal is to do a handstand for 1 minute!
Just a reminder that we do not have school on Monday in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Day.
Stay warm this weekend!
With Lenski Love,
Jessica
From the Office
Lenski Accountability Committee
We are excited to welcome Kim Gates, District nurse, Meredith Henry, elementary social and emotional coordinator, and Christine Casey Perry, middle school social and emotional coordinator to our next LEAC meeting on Tuesday, January 21st, at 1:45 PM. They will be leading a discussion on substance abuse and key considerations for parents, as well as considerations for parents as students move to middle school and beyond.
All interested community members are encouraged to join the conversation. Please feel free to bring any questions you may have.
If you have any questions about this meeting, please contact Jessica Slattery. We look forward to seeing you there!
Reminder-After School Use of Primary Playground
Just a reminder that our after school program needs access to the primary playground at 3:30pm. We have noticed a lot of students continuing to play without parent supervision. We have also noticed that many students have started playing football after school and have been resistant to staff asking them to move to our other playground or field. This is a good reminder that all students, K-5 need to be supervised by a parent or adult after school.
Attendance Reminders
The final morning bell rings at 7:50am (8:50 AM late start Wednesdays). Students are expected to be in their seats and ready to learn at that time.
Students arriving after 7:50 will be counted as tardy.
You can now report your student’s absence directly through the LPS Infinite Campus Parent Portal, ensuring a seamless and efficient communication process.
Access the How-To Guide for further instructions.
You may also still call the Attendance Line to report an absence at 303-734-5600
