The Portrait of a Graduate is like a roadmap for our students' future. We want them to be not only academically strong but also confident, creative problem-solvers who can communicate effectively and work well with others. We believe that by focusing on these skills, we're preparing them to be successful in college, their careers, and as responsible citizens. It's a vision we've created together as a school community, and we're excited to work with you to help your child achieve this goal. Look for updates throught out the year as we continue to implement the Portrait of a Graduate into practice.

The theme for the 24-25 school year is Pathways to Wellness. We will be focusing on the health and wellness of the staff and students throughout the school year.

We will be offering a number of health and wellness events including a Vape 101 presentation on Septemer 18th for the district, a Wellness Fair for middle and high school students, and a number of workshops for students and staff. We are excited to focus on health and wellness and have partnered with All Together and Wise for upcoming offerings.

We welcome Mr. Lantman as our new athletic trainer. He will provide physical and nutritional education to students throughout the year as well as attend games and support students in the weight room.

The weight room will be open starting August 5 for students. This is an open weight room for all students.

Volunteers are important to MVRHS. If you plan to attend any senior events with students during the school day, assist with athletics or drama productions, or attend a trip, you must complete the volunteer paperwork at least 6 weeks in advance. Fall athletics kick off on Friday, August 16 with football. Cross country, girls and boys soccer, volleyball and field hockey start Monday, August 19. Bass fishing begins August 28th. Students will need to be registered in Family ID before the start of the season

On November 15-18th, MVRHS students will be headed to New York City. They will visit Ellis Island, The 9/11 Memorial, The Tenement Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, a Broadway show and more! -Summer Maintenance and Upgrades: Our facilities team has been hard at work ensuring that our school buildings are well-maintained and ready for the new school year.

-Technology Enhancements:Upgrading our computer labs and classroom technology to support more interactive and engaging learning experiences.

-Academic Preparation: While summer is a time for relaxation, it's also an excellent opportunity for staff to prepare schedules, participate in professional development, prepare forms, and plan for the new school year.

-First Day of School: We are excited to welcome students on August 27th and kick off another fantastic year of learning and growth.

-Communication We believe that strong communication between the school and families is essential for student success. Please ensure that your contact information is up to date in Alma so you can receive important updates and information. Our school website and social media channels will also provide timely news and announcements.

-Looking Ahead:We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and enriching educational environment for all our students.
