Principal's Message
Hello Borchardt Families,
We鈥檙e entering a busy week as we approach Thanksgiving break! A friendly reminder that this is a full week of school, followed by just two days next week before we head into the holiday.
This week, we will be holding a practice fire and lockdown drill. Please know this is simply a routine exercise to ensure our students and staff are familiar with safety procedures.
Additionally, our Lost and Found is overflowing with jackets and sweatshirts. If your student is missing an item, we encourage you to stop by and take a look before the break.
As always, we are so grateful for your partnership and support.
Warm regards,
Bri Carroll
Principal
Chromebooks
Our librarian works diligently to ensure that loaner Chromebooks are available if a student forgets to charge theirs. However, we are running low, and your support is essential to help us maintain this resource.
For students who bring their Chromebook back and forth daily, please remind them of the following:
- **Charge it nightly** so it鈥檚 ready for the next school day.
- **Use clean hands** and always carry the Chromebook with **two hands**.
- Hold it by the **base** rather than the screen to avoid damage.
- Keep **food and drinks** away from the Chromebook to prevent spills and accidents.
Thank you for helping us take care of this vital learning tool!
Tying our Shoes
At Borchardt, safety is always a top priority. With stairs on campus and active play on the playground, it鈥檚 crucial for our students to know how to tie their shoes to prevent tripping and falling.
Teaching your child to tie their shoes is a valuable skill that promotes independence and safety. Many children enjoy learning new skills through videos, and shoe-tying is no exception! We鈥檝e included a helpful video link to make learning fun and engaging. Take a moment to watch it with your child and practice together.
Thank you for supporting your child in mastering this important skill.
Attendance Matters
Attendance Reminder
As we continue to encourage strong attendance, please remember that picking students up early affects their attendance just as much as arriving late. We ask that you do your best to schedule appointments outside of school hours or on minimum days. Thank you for your continued commitment to your child鈥檚 education and ensuring they make the most of each school day!
