Empowering Moments
From Superintendent Smith...
This past week, our Bennett Ranch 2nd Grade Bulls completed their Ancient Civilizations Unit and participated in their Dragon parade throughout the halls at Bennett Ranch Elementary to celebrate their new Wisdom with the content. It was awesome to watch all of the other grades celebrate their fellow Bulls on this accomplishment. The 6th Grade students from Falcon Middle School also participated with encouragement and cheers for these 2nd Grade Bulls. All of this applause and celebration from peers from around the school and zone really builds additional Self-Confidence in all of our learners. Let's lift up our students and continue to celebrate all of their accomplishments!
Falcon Zone Satisfaction Survey
Several times a year, the Falcon Zone seeks stakeholder feedback from students, staff, and families. The following overall zone results are from the Fall 2024 surveys. Principals will share out individual school data in their newsletters!

Mrs. Douglas' 4th grade students worked to illustrate hunting differences between Archaic and Paleo Indians while studying Colorado history. Students were engaged and enthusiastically drew mammoths and bison being hunted.
Mr. Braaten reviews homework with his class before moving into his lesson. He did a great job of asking open-ended questions to guide deeper understanding of the math concept they were working on.
Mrs. Vari uses Pirates of the Caribbean Battleship to help her students understand and practice longitude and latitude in her Western Hemisphere class.
Mrs. Carlson has her students independently run though their warm-up stations when they come to PE. Students read the descriptors on the wall then help one another do them correctly before moving onto the next.
Ms. Langhoff worked with a small group of students on math while others worked on independent multiplication fact practice. Students made math facts posters and played games to help them solidify facts.
Ms. Murray's kindergarteners worked independently to navigate Learning Plans on their iPads while she worked with a small group of students on the floor learning letter sounds and practicing letter writing.
