Student Data
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving student outcomes, we are closely reviewing our student data to better understand our strengths and areas for growth. We encourage you to take some time to review the following data reports, which highlight our performance across several key metrics.
California Dashboard Data Comparison
We have analyzed our California Dashboard data and compared it to the data from our comprehensive school sites. This comparison allows us to identify trends, areas of achievement, and areas where we need to focus additional support. By examining these results, we can make more informed decisions about the strategies and interventions we implement at our school.
CAASPP Data Review
We’ve also reviewed our CAASPP (California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress) data, comparing it to the results from other sites within our district. This comparison gives us valuable insight into how our students are performing relative to their peers, and it will guide our efforts to ensure that we are meeting the needs of all learners.
Deep Dive at Department Chair and PD Meetings
We’re committed to using this data to inform our instructional practices. Our Department Chair meetings and upcoming professional development sessions will include a deep dive into this data, where we’ll discuss how we can use these insights to continue improving instruction and student outcomes.

Announcements and Reminders
I would like to take a moment to remind everyone of some important policies regarding restroom procedures to ensure consistency, safety, and the well-being of all students and staff.
Restroom Vests - Please remind students to treat restroom vests with care. These vests should not be ripped, destroyed, or lost. If a student is unable to wear the vest properly or takes it off inappropriately, they may lose their restroom privilege. It's essential that all students follow the guidelines for wearing the vests correctly to help maintain a smooth and organized process.
5-Star System and Restroom Access - Students are unable to leave for the restroom if they have been blocked by the 5-Star system. There are also designated blackout periods—the first and last ten minutes of each class—during which restroom access is not permitted unless there is an emergency. Please be aware that some students may be restricted from leaving during certain times, as determined by administration. Restroom access will be allowed once the blackout period ends.
Restroom Closure Time - Restrooms will be closed promptly at 3:07 p.m. each day to allow supervision staff to prepare for dismissal. This ensures that all students can be properly supervised during the end-of-day transition.
Incident Reporting - If a student does not adhere to our classroom expectations, an incident will be documented in PowerSchool, and the teacher will reach out to the parent/guardian. If the behavior persists after parental contact, further communication will take place with our Assistant Principals in Student Supervision for additional support.
***Our policies and procedures are in place to ensure the safety of our students and staff. By maintaining consistent expectations, we can create a more structured and secure environment for everyone on campus.
Grades and Support - We are just weeks away from the end of the first semester. As a reminder, semester grades will be recorded on your student's permanent high school transcript, which can impact their academic record and future opportunities. If a student fails a class, they will need to retake that course in summer school. Each class counts toward the required credits for graduation, so it is essential that students stay focused and engaged in their studies.
Please encourage your student to come to school each day fully prepared to learn. They should bring their backpacks and ensure their Chromebooks are fully charged.
If your student is struggling, there are several ways they can get additional support:
- Attend their teacher's office hours
- Utilize Homeroom time to study or attend math intervention
- Participate in the XL program after school
- Attend Saturday School for extra help
We appreciate your partnership in helping your student succeed. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need assistance.
Vision - Every student empowered to achieve future success.
Purpose Statement - As educators, we aim to foster a safe, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment where students feel valued and empowered to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to equipping each student with the skills, confidence, and critical thinking tools needed to excel in their future endeavors, embrace lifelong learning, and become compassionate, proactive members of society. Through meaningful connections, personalized support, and a dedication to excellence, we strive to inspire every student to reach their full potential and navigate their path to success with resilience and purpose.
