Circle of Security® Training for Caregivers Spring 2024
Strong relationships are the foundation of wellness and learning. This session will be focused on the caregiver/child relationship and be most applicable to your family setting with young children (grade 2 and younger). However, there will be opportunities to gain insight into how you might better understand your family/work/partner relationships as well.
About the Program:
At times all parents feel lost or without a clue about what their child might need from them. Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you. The Circle of Security® Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.
Using the COSP™ model developed by the Circle of Security originators, a facilitator will help parents:
o Understand their child’s emotional world by learning to read emotional needs
o Support their child’s ability to successfully manage emotions
o Enhance the development of their child's self-esteem
o Honor the innate wisdom and desire for their child to be secure
EIPS will be offering this training for caregivers this spring. Join us for 6 sessions on Mondays in April/May.
Session Dates/Time: April 8, 15, 22, 29, May 6, 13 from 6:15-7:30 PM
All sessions are at Glen Allan School in the library. Space is limited. To register, please click here: https://permission.click/egJgO/ca/signee-info
