Cold Spring Elementary Update
From The Principal's Desk
I can't believe we are already into the second month of school! We are starting to get deeper into our learning of reading and math! Last month as a school we stressed being respectful, and this month our theme is being responsible. There are many ways we can show responsibility; whether it's doing our best in our work, or picking up after ourselves. I encourage you to use this word at home as well and give your child some responsibility with something at home. Maybe it's feeding a pet, or taking it for a walk. Maybe it's setting the table, or cleaning up after themselves! There are many ways to practice responsibility!
I am also so thankful for all of you in helping our PTO fundraise over $20,000! I maybe encouraged the students to ask for a little bit of money last week, and of course I threw some incentives in there. This week I have wore my clothes backward, and today I will have my hair colored red and will be duct taped to the wall for part of the day! I am not sure what I got myself into, but it's fun to see how excited the students are about meeting the goal and what they now get to do to me :-) Have a great time at the Color Run today! I was hoping to be there, but my daughter plays in a volleyball tournament that starts at 4:00 in the cities Friday afternoon, so I will be heading that way shortly after school....I'm bummed to miss it!
