LEMONADE FOR UGANDA ORPHANAGE
Students in Mrs. Gibson's class applied economic terms to create business plans for lemonade stands. Parent CEOs volunteered time to plan and operate the stands with the students. The class voted to donate the profits to Ekisa, an orphanage in Uganda ran by a young lady from Fishers. The students had a great time marketing their product and their fundraising. In the end, economic terms were better understood, and the class saw how their efforts could aid children across the globe. The lemonade stands raised $633.50 for Ekisa!
