A Message from Mrs. Mills (Richey)
Happy Sunday, Harris Park Families!
Thank you so much for attending conferences and visiting the book fair! It was wonderful to see and connect with so many of you. We truly appreciate all the ways you partner with us in supporting your children's education.
If you haven’t yet returned the blue sheets that ask for ways you will support your child in reaching their long-term goals, it's not too late! This is a special school-wide project, where your words of encouragement are displayed in our hallways alongside your child's goals. When students reach 5th grade and continue, they will receive all of their goal sheets from their years here at Harris Park, making it a meaningful keepsake for families.
Here are some ideas you can write to inspire and encourage your child:
- "I will make sure my child is well-rested and ready for school each day."
- "I will encourage my child to explore, learn, and grow every day."
- "I will support my child in staying positive, working hard, and believing in their abilities."
- "I will teach my child to learn from mistakes and persevere through challenges."
Additionally, we’ve noticed an increase in students being dropped off late in the morning and picked up late in the afternoon. Please remember that our school day begins promptly at 7:35 AM. Students can enter the building at 7:30 AM, where breakfast is available. Dismissal is at 2:50 PM, and all students must be picked up no later than 3:00 PM. For safety reasons, we cannot provide supervision before 7:30 AM or after 3:00 PM, so please ensure your child arrives and is picked up on time.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support!
Love,
Mrs. Mills (Richey)
