🎉 Happy National Assistant Principals Week! 🎉
A huge shoutout to our favorite assistant principals, Mrs. McCord and Mrs. Peek! We could not do our jobs without you and are so thankful for the love, grace, patience, and fun you bring to our staff and students every single day. Your leadership, support, and heart make all the difference.
Boosterthon Kick Off April 22nd
We're excited to introduce this year's main fundraiser, the Giesinger Splash and Dash. Our goal this year is to raise $20,000 for school improvements, playground equipment, and field trips to benefit ALL students at Giesinger Elementary.
We’re excited for this fundraising experience because it offers 3 important things to our school community:
1️⃣ User-friendly fundraising platform
2️⃣ Character enrichment program
3️⃣ Fitness-focused event that includes ALL of our students
As a family, you will work together asking friends and family to donate on your student’s Donation Page at MyBooster.com. The best part is, you can still support our school just by SHARING about the fundraiser!
Students will also experience an amazing character enrichment program called “Castle Quest”, teaching students about how to be brave and live with character.

Nurse's News
April is National Stress Awareness Month. Stress and anxiety play a big role in our children’s lives today. Children and teens are frequently stressed in this always-on pressure-cooker culture, and we know that all of these stressors are taking a toll on them. Some stress is normal and beneficial in short-term situations, but experiencing strong, frequent, and/or prolonged tension can result in physical symptoms such as stomachaches and headaches and more serious mental health problems like anxiety and depression. By turning to some fun, safe, science-backed activities, we can help our children feel calmer and happier.
Try some of these tips with your kids:
- Spend some time outside in nature.
- Get creative! Paint or draw nature scenes, engage in mindful coloring, sing, or play an instrument
- Incorporate exercise into your family’s daily routine: try skipping, swimming, or going for a family walk.
- Teach your children mindfulness techniques, such as mindful eating and deep breathing.
- Express gratitude by keeping a gratitude journal or writing real thank-you notes.
- Volunteer as a family in your community.
- Incorporate nutritious foods into your children's diet while minimizing sugar and caffeine intake.
- Encourage outside playtime
- Seek out more awe experiences: observe a sunset, listen to a symphony, attend a magic show.
