NEWSLETTER | TERM 1 | WEEK 10 | 10 APRIL 2025
Today, we wrapped up a busy and fulfilling first term with a beautiful and reflective Stations of the Cross liturgy. Also known as the Way of the Cross, this special tradition honours Jesus Christ’s final day on Earth. Our Faith Leader, Niah and Year Six student, Aoife, led us thoughtfully through each station, beginning with Palm Sunday, guiding students as they reflected on the significant moments of Jesus’ journey to Calvary. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs Curtis for preparing and leading such a meaningful liturgy.
Parent/Teacher Interviews also took place this week, providing a valuable opportunity for families to connect with teachers and celebrate student progress. It was encouraging to hear so many positive conversations. If you were unable to attend, I encourage you to reach out to your child’s teacher to arrange another time. As always, we welcome feedback to help us enhance these experiences in the future.
A big thank you to our P&F committee and school community for your generous support of our fundraising events throughout the term. Every event has been a success thanks to the hard work behind the scenes. Special thanks to Daniel Pastorelli MLA, member for Landsdale, Madmia a Sock Wonderland and our generous families for donating raffle prizes. Congratulations to the winners of the Easter Raffles and to the Shilton family for winning the Term Two car park! Thank you also to Mrs Bowman and our Year Six students and volunteers for their fantastic efforts selling tickets.
This Sunday marks Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week and a time to reflect on Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, where he was welcomed with palm branches as a sign of honour. As we receive palm fronds at Mass this weekend, may it be a chance for you and your family to reflect on the meaning of this special day and the events of Holy Week.
Wishing all of our families a happy, safe, and Holy Easter break. Enjoy the holidays, whether you're travelling or staying close to home. I look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Tuesday, April 29.
God bless

Dear parents and caregivers,
As we come to the end of Term One, I want to extend a huge thank you to each and every one of you for making my first term here such a fabulous one. It’s truly been a joy to be part of such a warm, welcoming, and supportive community. Thank you for making this such a wonderful place to work.
Our final week has been a busy one! We’ve had a number of events and special moments, including our parent-teacher interviews, the RSPCA incursion, and Reconciliation for our Years 4–6 students.
Today, our Year Five students represented our school beautifully as they participated in the Whadjuk Gift at Mater Dei College, a special reconciliation initiative celebrating sport, culture, and creativity. Thank you to Mr Fitzgibbons and Mrs ChanSaw for supporting the students in this enriching experience.
Finally, a massive congratulations to all of our students who took part in the Interschool Swimming Carnival last Friday – what an achievement!
Just a reminder that when we return in Term Two, we will begin with our ANZAC Day Liturgy on Tuesday, 29th April at 8:45am which will be near the school flagpoles. We warmly invite you to join us as we honour and remember all the brave women and men who have represented the ANZACS.
Wishing you all a safe, restful and joyful Easter break with your family and friends.
God Bless!
