LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Dolphin Families,
As the month of March is closing out with only one more week, we move from winter and the many activities associated with it and into the anticipation of spring. Not only are we transitioning seasons, we are also transitioning to begin to think about next school year. Please keep you eye out for events and information on registration and course selection for next school year. As we hope for warmer weather and traverse more transitions, we want to keep our students focused on continuing to strive to do their best and be their best selves. I appreciate all that you do at home to support your student and the community as a whole. Thank you for making the bridge between school and home so strong. I am so fortunate to work along side all of our students, staff, and families; your participation and continuous support is invaluable.
Warmly,
Principal Ingraham

Update on School Policy for Family Members Shadowing their Scholar
We deeply value the partnership between home and school and appreciate the involvement of our families in their students’ education. One way we have always fostered this connection is by welcoming families to shadow their students during the school day. We love and support this practice, as it strengthens our community and enhances student success.
To ensure we continue prioritizing student safety, privacy, and well-being, we are making updates to our school policy regarding families shadowing their scholar. These updates are in place for the following important reasons:
- Student Privacy & FERPA Compliance – We must ensure that everyone in the building has the proper clearance and understanding of student privacy and confidentiality. This is essential to aligning with federal regulations like FERPA.
- Safety & Security – Given the current social-political climate, we must be extra diligent about knowing who is in our building at all times and ensuring a secure environment for all students and staff.
- District Policy Alignment – We are updating our procedures to remain in full alignment with District policies and expectations.
Families who wish to shadow their scholar may do so by completing the District’s volunteer clearance process (New Volunteer Application) or by reaching out to our administration team to coordinate a visit where an administrator can accompany them. These steps allow us to maintain a safe and welcoming environment while ensuring compliance with our updated policies.
We remain committed to fostering strong relationships with our families and will provide additional details on how to continue engaging with your student’s learning in ways that honor these updates. Thank you for your understanding, support, and partnership in keeping our school community safe and strong.
