Pink, Pink, Pink as far as the eye can see! Today We celebrated Pink Shirt Day 2022.

Pink Shirt Day is about working together to stop bullying by celebrating diversity and promoting kindness and inclusiveness. The support for Pink Shirt Day at IPS has been outstanding. Thank you to all that supported this cause.

We are super proud to announce the Book Signing Launch of Pincer's New Shell Home created with the The Rock Pool Writers Collective, Indigo Feasy, Olivia Benseman, Alice Williams, Grayson Young & Daxtyn Ferguson.

We are immensely grateful to: Mrs Robin Drake, Mrs. Diana Neild - author, Mr Rangi Adams - their class teacher, and Mr Dave Gunson – illustrator , to name a few for their encouragement and expertise. Thank you to the staff who have assisted in behind the scenes as well.

We were delighted to have the support and presence at the Book Launch from: Feasy Whanau who travelled from Papamoa, Linda and Bill Williams who travelled from Feilding. Matt Rilkoff - editor Taranaki Daily News, Giles Crothwaite - Scott Publisher for the book, Dr Emily Roberts Marine Biologist from Education Sector, Taranaki District Council, all the wonderful grandparents and parents who also came on the day.

Today we had the crew from Kea Kids News doing an expo on our Lachlan. We are pleased to announce the goal has been reached on the Give a Little Page to get enough money for a modified bike for Lachlan to use. This will be life changing for him. Sadly the bike isn't ready yet, however, the crew, Lachlan, his parents, staff and classmates had a great time.

In Week Two this term, we finally had the opportunity to be together with all the senior students and teachers. We were super excited to be able to engage in a range of activities together at Vertical Horizons. Relationships across the four classes were able to be established and nurtured. It was a heartwarming experience, to see the children all manage themselves, challenge themselves, work together as a team and represent our school in such an upstanding way. Our REACH Values shone through at camp and we are all very proud of everyone's efforts. The high rope activities, campfire, night walk to see the glow worms and the mud run, were among the highlights for all. Being in mixed activity groups and cabins has been beneficial for all children. Our parent helpers were amazing, caring, compassionate, and supportive. Awesome memories which will last a lifetime.

We have a number of our members leaving us next year due to their children leaving Primary School so new members are essential to keeping our group going to fundraise for the school and its students.

We are getting ready to plan for 2023. If you or you know of anyone, wishing to enrol their child at Inglewood Primary School, please get them to email the Office with the child's name, date of birth, parent's name and contact number, so we can put them on our pre-enrolment list. This is for both IN ZONE and OUT of Zone Enrolments
