BE in the Know with Harmony
If you would like daily or weekly updates on school attendance, lunch accounts, grades and school discipline then sign up through Harmony. Log in to Harmony and select the menu tab, scroll down to notifications profile, set your profile settings as desired, then save your updates.
Our grading practice allows students to reassess if they get below a 70% on an assessment. The teachers will reteach and offer a retest. The grade can be replaced up to a max score of 80%. If a student did not put forth effort, refused or rushed then they can be given an option to redo the assessment without reteaching occurring. We also enter a 50% as the lowest grade to make sure that scores are not deflated from one grade.

Happy Friday Families! Only 1 more week before Spring Break!
Most recently, we have been focusing on the fourth component of our Eagle Pledge: being Ready for Learning. Every so often it is important to revisit our routines, expectations, and procedures. All of these things help our students be ready for learning every single day.
As you may know, we are gearing up for "testing season," for grades 2-6. Our second graders just wrapped up IREAD, and ILEARN begins for 3-6 after Spring Break. This week, we focused on test taking tips & strategies to help us do our best on "the big test!" We are super proud of our Eagles and all of their hard work this year- we cannot wait for them to show us everything they have learned!
Our younger grades are continuing their unit on Feelings & Emotions. We are using an "Inside Out" theme to practice identifying feelings, recognizing facial expressions, and we will wrap up with how to manage some of our big feelings! This has been particularly fun because the movies, "Inside Out" and "Inside Out 2" make it so easy for kids to relate to!
As always, please encourage your children to talk with you about what they are learning in guidance! If you are ever interested in extension activities or other books related to our lesson topics, please don't hesitate to ask! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out!
