Happy Friday!

Tonight is our Holiday Drive Through from 5:30 – 6:30. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be here to meet the students. If you attend, please have your car placard in the front window to help Santa greet students by name. If you are really in the holiday spirit, decorate your car and be entered to win one of three prizes provided by our PTO.

Next week is our PTO’s Holiday Shop. Students should have come home with a packet to plan for their shopping. Information is on DOJO as well as our school’s and PTO’s social media. This is such a great event. If you have time to volunteer, I know that seeing the joy of the kids as they shop would fill your heart with joy too.

¡Feliz viernes!

Esta noche es nuestro Drive Through de vacaciones de 5:30 a 6:30. Santa Claus y la Sra. Claus estarán aquí para recibir a los estudiantes. Si asiste, coloque su cartel en el auto en la ventana delantera para ayudar a Santa a saludar a los estudiantes por su nombre. Si realmente está en el espíritu navideño, decore su auto y participe para ganar uno de los tres premios proporcionados por nuestra PTO.

La próxima semana es la tienda navideña de nuestra PTO. Los estudiantes deberían haber regresado a casa con un paquete para planificar sus compras. La información está en DOJO, así como en las redes sociales de nuestra escuela y PTO. Este es un gran evento. Si tiene tiempo para ser voluntario, sé que ver la alegría de los niños mientras compran también llenará su corazón de alegría.

Building Emotional Intelligence with RULER

Have you heard of RULER? It’s a powerful framework that helps us understand, use, and manage our emotions effectively. As a school, We are excited to share how RULER is helping our students develop crucial social and emotional skills.

What is RULER?

RULER is an acronym for:

• Recognizing our emotions
• Understanding our emotions
• Labeling our emotions
• Expressing our emotions
• Regulating our emotions

By teaching students these skills, we empower them to:

• Build stronger relationships
• Improve academic performance
• Reduce stress and anxiety
• Make better decisions
• Resolve conflicts peacefully

RULER is being integrated into our school culture through:

• Classroom lessons: Teachers incorporate RULER into their lessons to teach students about emotions and how to manage them.
• Social-emotional learning activities: Students participate in activities that help them practice RULER skills, such as mindfulness exercises, role-playing, and group discussions.
• Positive behavior interventions and supports: RULER is used to teach students positive behavior strategies and to address challenging behavior.

By fostering emotional intelligence, we’re creating a more positive and supportive learning

environment for all students.

Our cafeteria can provide birthday boxes at a very low cost. 1. The curb lanes are for individual K-3rd Grade pick-up.

2. The grass lanes are for 4th grade and multi-family pick-up.

3. If you choose to park in our parking lot, you may be stuck for a while.

4. Vehicles may not park in red curb lanes.

5. Enter through enter lanes and exit through exit lanes.

6. Be a good neighbor, please do not park in surrounding apartment drives or parking lots.

As a reminder, we are a uniform school. Our uniforms consist of a navy blue, white or light blue polo shirt and navy or khaki bottoms. Cubs "spirit" wear is an acceptable alternative to the uniform shirt.

We are in need of student uniforms! If your kids have outgrown any of their uniforms from first semester and they are still in good used condition, please consider donating to us! You can leave them in the front office. Thank you!
