Summer Update
July 25, 2024
From the Superintendent
Dear Aquin Families,
The summer is going by so quickly! In another few weeks, we will be embarking on the new school year. There are so many little things that need to be completed, but we have completed so much.
One of the projects that we have been diligently working on is a new chapel space. When the elementary moved out of St. Joseph's, we had to recapture the chapel space as a classroom. It was relocated to a small former conference room next to the office. Now that we have some additional space in the junior high hallway, we decided to put in a bigger, dedicated chapel.
Mr. Hunziker donated the stage that he created for graduation as a space for the altar and we are pleased that it makes such a nice addition to the room. The pews that were in the chapel before have been retrieved from the basement and the room is starting to come together. When Fr. McMorrow returns from visiting his family in Alaska, we will hopefully get the finishing touches completed. (See pictures below). I am excited to celebrate school Masses in this new space!
A HUGE thank you to Marg Christensen and Two Men and A Truck that helped us move all those pews and other heavy items around the building. Having professionals that can help us out is a true blessing for the maintenance staff and the school.
We still have limited openings in each class. If you know someone that is interested in joining our bulldog family, please reach out and we will be sure to make them feel welcome!

Sports Physicals
Students that plan to participate in sports with OAA or Orangeville Junior High, will need a sports physical on file. This applies to students in grades 5, 7 & 8. Grade 6 students do not need a separate sports physical since they have a regular physical required.
Students may attend any of the FHN Sports Physical clinics to satisfy this requirement.
