Principal Newsletter Notes
Some thoughts for the starting school year
Keep Up with What's Going on at the Hill!
Hi Bulldog Families,
This week schools in New Jersey recognize Red Ribbon week. Students will be reminded of the importance to stay drug free and make smart decisions to help keep them safe. In this newsletter is information about helping families with school attendance and digital safety. We encourage everyone to have regular conversations on these topics as collectively they are important to helping our students succeed.
On Friday, our Bunker Hill celebrated Pink Day from head to toe! This day was orchestrated by an 8th grade student and her mom who is a breast cancer survivor. In wearing our pink, Bunker Hill recognizes and uplifts anyone who has been affected by this cancer.
During our Week of Respect, students learned about Kindness Greeters, that help welcome students to school each day with a positive message. We had 30 students willing to become Kindness Greeters. They will begin welcoming students every morning.
Senora Marin held an Hispanic Heritage month assembly on Friday where she and her dance peers put on a wonderful performance of various Latin dances. We are so grateful to have staff members that go above and beyond for our students.
I am so proud of the Bunker Hill community's commitment to making our school a place we all want to be. Never forget that being a bulldog is more than a mascot!.
Sincerely,
Ms. Egizi
