As the 2024-2025 school year begins, I want to express my gratitude for your continued support and partnership. You must know that our students' social-emotional and mental health are top priorities. As a school district, we strive to implement high-quality, consistent social-emotional health, wellness, and safety practices for both students and adults as part of our strategic plan. Your involvement and understanding are crucial as we work together to foster a supportive environment for our children.
We want to provide all of our families with the ReferalGPS program, which is available for all to utilize. The ReferralGPS service aims to connect families to mental health treatment and support. Securly
Fremont School District 79 is continuing to partner with Securly to provide internet content filtering on student-issued devices. We are pleased to inform you that Securly offers registered parents/guardians the opportunity to participate in the online safety of their children by providing access to view their student’s internet activity within the Securly Home Web Portal or the Securly Home App (available on both Android and iPhone). The Securly Home App has additional features that allow parents/guardians to receive push notifications on flagged activity, schedule when their student device is offline, and pause and unpause their student’s internet on the school-issued device while away from school.
Last week, parents/guardians who have not registered did receive a "Welcome to Securly” email from noreply@securly.com to complete their registration. Registered parents/guardians will receive weekly activity reports, offering a snapshot of their child’s internet use on the school-issued device. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive the email by September 6.
