Saluda Trail Wildcats
January 12, 2025
Principal's Corner
Good evening, STMS Families,
I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable weekend. Tomorrow, students will bring home their report cards for the 1st semester. These report cards provide an opportunity for students, families, and educators to celebrate successes and reflect on challenges. If you have concerns about your child’s progress, please contact their teacher or school counselor. We are committed to providing the necessary support and resources.
Regarding last Friday’s eLearning day, any student who did not complete their eLearning assignments will have a 5-day grace period to submit them. Students who fail to submit assignments after this grace period will be marked absent for the day school was canceled. Additionally, as with any school-issued assignment, failure to complete the work will result in grading in accordance with our school’s grading policy.
This week, we will begin goal-setting conversations with students. These discussions are designed to help students set academic goals and provide teachers with valuable insights for instruction. Families, I encourage you to ask your children about these conversations and the goals they are setting.
I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. Let’s have a great week!

ACADEMIC CHALLENGE
Let’s give a Wildcat Clap to the following students who earned high score honors in the buzzer rounds: Alexis Anderson, Alex Mouille, and Jordyn Allen. The team appreciates Ms. Davies, Ms. Kane, Ms. Johnson, and Ms. McCoy who volunteered their time to help run the match. Our next competition will be against Castle Heights Middle School at STMS at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22.
LET'S SPRUCE UP THE TRAIL -- FEB. 8
The STMS School Improvement Council is sponsoring SPRUCE UP Saturdays every 2nd Saturday of the month. The goal is to find ways to "spruce up" the school building and ensure our students and teachers have a beautiful building in which to work. We'll be painting two walls in a couple of classrooms and could use your help! This is a perfect opportunity to get some service hours! Please sign up at the link below.
