The Attendance Team meets weekly to monitor attendance. The Attendance goal is 94% for every student. There are 180 school days, so 10% of the school year is 18 days, this should be the max for the school year. Ms. Horner's class did a Mystery Science activity this month where they made and compared an umbrella to a tree and took turns being the wind to try and knock them both down. They talked about how the different parts of trees can help them stay up in typical winds.

Online Emergency Information Update Messaging: Effective communication is critical to the success of St. Mary’s County Public Schools (SMCPS). This will be crucial not only for emergencies but for our ability to communicate with families in general. Online Emergency Information Update Forms are now available through the student’s Home Access Center (HAC). Once logged in, directions to access the online form can be found HERE. A video with instructions is available HERE. It is vital that all information is updated in eSchool. The month of October brings us to the character trait of Responsibility. Responsibility means, "Proving you can be trusted with what is expected of you". Green Holly students have many responsibilities including doing their best work, completing and turning in homework, cleaning up after themselves and always using kind words and actions.
