Welcome Back!

We are so excited to be back together next week! Here are a couple quick things to know before we start. Have a great weekend and see you at the Popsicle social on Wednesday!

The office will be closed 8/8 and will open back up 8/15 at noon!

Important Upcoming Dates:

August 14 - School Supply Drop Off (1st - 8th) & Popsicle Social (All grades)

August 15 - First Day of School (8 am) & Mass at 10 am (1st - 8th) Noon Dismissal (No Mass Dress)

August 15 & 16 - Kindergarten Meet & Greet / Supply Drop Off

August 18 - School/Parish Mass & Picnic - Sign up & Info here!

August 19 - First day of Kindergarten (Full Day) & Kindergarten Parent Breakfast

August 20 - SJPA Meeting @ 3:15 pm

August 21 - Individual School Pictures

August 22 - Back to School Night (Gym) 6:00 pm

New Safe Environment Database

As of 7/1/2024, the Diocese of Boise implemented the VIRTUS Program (formerly CMG Connect) as its new comprehensive safe environment training platform. As volunteers for the Diocese of Boise, you will have access to your previous training records within the database. When it's time for you to complete a training document, to obtain recertification training or conduct a background check, you will receive automatic email notification from the VIRTUS website to access your account. The email will contain your VIRTUS User ID, how to reset your password and instructions of the needed requirement.

For existing users:

To access your VIRTUS account, please go to www.virtus.org and log in as an existing user with your user ID that was provided in an email from the diocese to you last week.
All existing users will need to reset their passwords. Please click on the following link to reset your password: https://www.virtusonline.org/virtus/forgot_password.cfm
If during this process you have difficulty resetting your password, please contact the VIRTUS Helpdesk at helpdesk@virtus.org or at 888-847-8870.

If you are a new volunteer/employee:

Please go to www.virtus.org, select First-Time Registrant and follow the prompts.

For new families and those that are not new but have not volunteered before, you must attend an in person Safe Environment Workshop before you can begin volunteering in any capacity. St. Joseph's will be holding an in person class on August 27th at 6 pm in the school cafeteria.

You will need to create your account on VIRTUS (link provided above) and register to attend the class. If you have any difficulty registering for the class at St. Joe's, please reach out to Kendall Mooney at mooneyk@stjoes.com.
You are welcome to attend an in person SEW being given at another treasure valley Catholic parish/school but you must let them know that you are with St. Joseph's Catholic School so that we will be notified.
