Important to Know:
We saw some beautiful smiles today for Picture Day! Thanks to the parent volunteers who made things run smoothly! Picture retakes will be held on 10/25.
HSA Meeting - 9/25
On Wednesday, 9/25 the HSA will hold their first meeting. If you would like to attend in-person, we will be meeting in the All-Purpose Room. If you'd prefer to attend virtually, here is the Zoom link.
Smart Watches
As I've mentioned to students, if they have a watch at school, it should be used only as a watch. We have a district cell phone policy which would prevent students from making phone calls or sending texts during school. If students are using a smart watch's cell phone capabilities, they will be told to put it in their backpack. If you ever need to get in touch with your child or if they need to get in touch with you, the main office is the way it should be done. Please reinforce this with your child. Thank you for your assistance!
Important Dates
If you are looking for the date of a future event at NB, please check our website calendar. There are dates for music shows, moving up ceremonies, and HSA meetings, etc for your planning purposes.
Please scroll for additional information about the Book Fair, apparel sale, HSA meetings, etc.
Lost and Found
Take a look at our lost and found--lots of sweatshirts already!
Are you missing a water bottle or a single croc? We have both!
If you are missing a smart watch, please contact the main office. We have had one since the first day of school.

Attendance Matters!
As a school, this year we are looking for students to attend school regularly. Chronic absenteeism is when a student has been absent 10% or more of the school year (18 days or more). We look forward to partnering with you to reduce the school's rate of chronic absenteeism. Please see the information below and contact us if you need assistance with attendance or if you have any questions.

Nurse Corner
From Mrs. LaTempa:
Thank you parents for being diligent in emailing or calling your child in absent when the need arises. It is important to let us know details of the absence such as a fever, vomiting, a cough that is viral, strep throat. Please do not just say "sick" or "not feeling well." We ask for specific details so that we can identify trends in a class or in the building. The purpose for tracking is to be proactive in alerting parents of symptoms to watch for and to provide education as well as taking extra steps at school to prevent further contagions.
If you do take your child to a healthcare provider, please provide a medical absence excuse note along with the diagnosis. It will be kept in your child's health file at school.
Please look for updates on how to keep healthy throughout the school year. We are off to a good start! Please remind children to wash hands, keep fingers from the T Zone (eyes, nose, mouth) and block coughs with an elbow.
