Safety at Hillside
Next week we plan to have our bi-annual school SHELTER DRILL so that students know how and where to go to stay safe in an extreme weather event such as a tornado. Our main hallway and teachers' lounge make up the majority of our reinforced shelter for our building. We also utilize some main floor bathrooms. We will NOT ask children to sit down in these bathrooms; we will simply show all students where to shelter and how the shelter procedure works.
Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you.
Behavior at Hillside
Social Skills and Behavior at Hillside
Hillside's philosophy is that students deserve to learn social skills right along with academics. We want our students to learn how to accept feedback gracefully, how to regulate their emotions appropriately, and how to negotiate skillfully with peers. We are committed to helping all our students to learn and grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
