In order to be promoted to the next grade level:
Students must achieve an overall average of 70 or better in at least (3) of the following core-content courses: English Language Arts/Reading, math, science, and social studies to be promoted to the next grade level.
Students who fail (3) or more core-content course(s) will need to successfully complete summer intervention during extended year to meet promotion requirements.
Students who did not meet attendance requirements and did not complete the attendance restoration will need to successfully complete summer academic seat time to meet promotion requirements. Successful completion requires 100% attendance and completion of all content-specific or interdisciplinary assignments.
Our summer school sites are Young Womens Leadership Academy (Balch Springs) and Piedmont Middle School. SUMMER SCHOOL WILL NOT BE HELD AT COMSTOCK MIDDLE SCHOOL.
LETTERS WILL BE SENT HOME WITH STUDENTS THIS WEEK IF THEY NEED TO ATTEND SUMMER SCHOOL
