District Update
March 2025
I hope this newsletter finds you well after Spring Break. I know not all of us enjoy a week off from school or work but I hope you were able to spend quality time with your family.
Our spring sports season is underway and a lot is going on. Boy's and girl's baseball/softball kicks off their season and middle school volleyball is wrapping up. In addition, our track team is taking advantage of mild temperatures with plenty of outdoor practices. Our Academic Team finished first in the Summit Conference! They look to defend their district title on April 12. Our FFA team is busy competing and placing in Floriculture, Soils and other competitions. We are so proud of our students as they continue to show drive and passion for our Fordland clubs, teams and activities. We would love to see support for our teams so check out our district calendar or follow our school Facebook pages for game times and other school events.
Once again, your partnership matters to us. Successful schools depend on the support and involvement from families and the local community. Our Fordland team looks forward to continuing the collaboration between home and school. Thank you for supporting your child and us.
Let's finish strong and #DoTheWork!
Sincerely,
Dr. Stephanie Vickers

Meet Mrs. King! She is a cook at Fordland Elementary School. Mrs. King has been with our district for 29 years. Her colleagues say she is consistent, loyal and considerate. They describe her as an amazing person who is sincere and a blessing to work with. When students go through the lunch line each day, she is always cheerful and patient with them. Mrs. King's favorite part about working at Fordland R-3 is the kids. She has loved watching them grow up over the last 29 years.
