As we reach the conclusion of another remarkable school year, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your support and partnership. Together, we've overcome challenges, celebrated achievements, and created lasting memories. As you embark on summer adventures, I encourage you to cherish these precious moments with your loved ones.

On behalf of the entire faculty and staff, I wish you a safe, enjoyable, and restful summer vacation. Thank you once again for your continued support, and for entrusting us with your children's education. I look forward to welcoming you back for another successful school year ahead.

Cottage Grove Elementary

As we end the year, we would like to thank our fifth grade students and families for your partnership over the years at CGE. We are proud of our 5th grade class and wish them well as they venture on this path of success! They are ready for it!

We want to wish Judy Nicklay well as she retires at the end of this school year with almost 40 years in the school district. We have been fortunate to have her a part of the CGE Community! Best wishes on your new adventures!

August 29 and September 3 all SoWashCo elementary schools will be having "Assessment Days". You will receive an email the middle of August to let you know who your child's teacher is. The email will also have a link for you to sign-up for a 30 minute time slot for your child to meet with next year's teacher. The teacher will visit briefly with each student on their class list and then assess them in reading. This valuable information about your child will give the teacher a little insight before school starts as well as having less testing at the beginning of the school year. You are also welcome to bring your child's school supplies on the assessment day to drop off in their classroom.

The CGE Office will be open periodically throughout the summer. We can be reached at our regular CGE phone numbers and email addresses.

Mrs. Pam Olson will be our new office coordinator starting July 1st. Pam is currently the office coordinator at Bailey Elementary so she knows the role well. Her email is polson@sowashco.org.

Please make sure that your email addresses are current in Parent Portal as that is how we will communicate much of the necessary information over the summer months and throughout the school year.

3:10 pm - School day ends

3:30 pm - School office closes

NOTE: The earliest students can arrive at school in the morning is 8:25 am. All students must be picked up at 3:10 pm if not riding the bus home.
