Mr. Jason Ingram passed away on October 18, 2023. He was a beloved teacher at Emma Jewel Charter Academy since 2014. He taught grades 2nd, 4th, and 5th during his time at Emma Jewel. He was one of the best educators to walk the face of earth. He was one of the most passionate, hardworking educators that would always go the extra mile for his scholars. He will be truly missed by our scholars and educators.

"I remember the chicken alfredo prank and always trying to get me in 'trouble'." -Clayton

"I remember the time that he put a fake cockroach in Mrs. Woods classroom." -Trinice

"There was one time when Mrs. Woods stepped out of the classroom for a minute and Mr. Ingram took something of hers and hid it in the ceiling. He told the class to keep it a secret." -Sofia

"I loved his jokes. I remember he used to say his water were kids tears. Make sure you tell the angels your good jokes!" -Amiya

Scholars in grades 3rd-8th grade can receive tutoring in Math and Reading after school until 5:15pm.

Thank you to the parents/guardians that have downloaded the DashPass App. All parents, no matter how their scholar gets how need to download the app.

Below is information on how to download the app. Check your email, even the spam folder, to see if you have received an email from DashPass already! If you have, follow the instructions to register. If you have not, email Mrs Woods at jamie.woods@emmajewelcharter.com with your name and scholar's name.

Below you will also find helpful videos about the location services feature that is key to have turned on! Also a couple videos on how to add other drivers that are not the parent/guardian!

Another great feature is the Early Dismissal feature! If your scholar has a doctor's appointment or needs to be checked out early, you can let the front office know through the app.

1. Go into the app, click early release, then chose the scholar, reason and time.
2. Once you have submitted that an email will be sent to the parent/guardian for approval.
3. After approval, the front office will approve it and will have your scholar ready for your at the time needed.
4. Signing out in the front office will still need to take place but the front office will be able to see when you have arrived at the school as well!

Classlink Launchpad is used at Emma Jewel!

Your scholar must log into their Launchpad in order to access the following programs:

• iReady
• Study Island
• MyOn
• Studies Weekly
• Stemscopes
• Focus

If your scholar is not logging into Launchpad, they will not be able to log into those programs. Please reach out to your scholar's educator if they are having a hard time logging into their account.
