A.L. Horton Wayfinder
Wrapping up 2023-2024
Let the summer adventures begin!
Dear Families,
It has been my honour to have served the A.L. Horton Elementary school community these past three years.
Our community is unique within Elk Island Public Schools - with its Ukrainian program, sister colony school, service to the community, agricultural connections, and busy parents and caregivers volunteering for multiple organizations in town - and it makes Vegreville an exciting and heartwarming place to be.
I am proud of the school community's work on our vision: Connecting to foster the minds and hearts of leaders. We are inclusive, empathetic, respectful, and desire to make the Vegreville community better through our service to others.
Gratitude to the many parents, staff members, students, and community members who have been my mentors while principal here. It is with bittersweet emotions that I say farewell as I embark on a new journey as principal of Win Ferguson Elementary in Fort Saskatchewan. I will cherish my time here with students, families, staff, and community members.
Dopobachenya & farewell! π»π
