Welcome To Knox Middle School!
Welcome to Knox. We are excited to have your student joining us or returning to us during the 2024-2025 school year.
The first day of school is Monday August 12, 2024.
The main gate will open at 7:50am for students to pick up their schedules and for breakfast.
Below you will find a lot of information about Knox Middle School programs for 24-25 school year. We will also continue to update this page with registration information before the school year starts.
We are looking forward to another incredible year at Knox filled with fun for students and amazing opportunities for school spirit, which include:
- ASB events and Pep Rallies
- +MVMNT Fun Fridays
- Art and DJ classes in Saturday School
- A new Choir elective
- Moana Jr. as our theater performance
- Middle School Sports
Due to budget constraints and reductions, there will be a few changes at Knox.
- We no longer have an attendance clerk. All absences must be reported online via google form linked here.
- The office has a reduction in staff, so enrollment will be limited to 2 days a week starting August 19th..
- Tuesdays and Thursdays 2-3:30
- From 7/26-8/16- Enrollment hours are
- 8:00-11:00 am
- The best way to reach the office will be email, as there is limited staff to answer the phones.
All middle schools in SDUSD have had adjustments to their bell schedule with changes and reductions in instructional minutes. Knox has added many additional minimum days, which will allow for teachers to plan and collaborate together.
- Every Thursday is a minimum day
- All days in August are minimum days
- State testing days will be minimum days
- The additional minimum days are outlined in the flyer below.

Dear Parent/Guardian:
Welcome to Knox Middle School! As required by various state, federal, district and school policies, we are asking you to read all forms in this envelope. The information you provide is critical for the school in supporting students, parent/school communication, and/or funding for student programs.
Please complete and return ALL signed forms in this envelope and keep the other forms for reference. We hope you will take the time to read the school and district policies and discuss these with your student.
· Proof of Address - One of the following: Utility bill-recent within 30 days, rental agreement, mortgage documents, military housing orders.
· Health Card
· Universal Form
· Authorization For Student Participation for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. March
Optional forms to return:
· Pesticide Use Notification (incoming 6th graders will receive theirs on the first day of school)
