Message from the High School Health Office
9th Grade Postural Screening Notification
Our school will begin our annual Postural Screening in March.
M.G.L. c.71, s.57 has required all public school systems in the Commonwealth to provide postural screening to all students in grades 5–9.The purpose of the Postural Screening is to identify early signs of potential spinal problems. This is not a diagnostic service, but rather a program to identify those young people who should have further medical evaluation. Parents/guardians will be notified if a referral is necessary.
*All Parents and Guardians have the right to opt their child out of any of the screenings by submitting a written request. Please email me if you have any questions, concerns or wish to opt your child out of the postural screening. llavery@lunenburgschools.net
