You are invited to join the DeSales Auction fun!
The DeSales HSA Annual Bid for Quality Education Auction is our biggest fundraiser of the year! This year's event will be held completely virtual - all are invited (friends, family, co-workers etc)!
What is the auction? We will have almost 300 items up for bid! Through our Facebook group you can bid on items in the comfort of your own home (link below).
When: The bidding starts on Friday, April 12th at 8:00am and ends on Sunday, April 14th at 7:59pm!
Pick Up: Items can be picked up at DeSales (pick up date to be announced).
Whether you just log on to watch or bid on items, it is FREE to join the fun.

Busing Requests due by April 1st
Busing Reminder
ALL districts require that busing requests are received by April 1st. All parents are required to resubmit for busing each year through their public school district. Please see the forms below and contact your local bus garage with questions.

Soccer Registration
Soccer registration is open for grades 1-8.
If your child is interested in playing playing Co-Ed soccer this spring, you can find registration information below. Registration is due to the Main Office by March 27th. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Hornquist.
If your student would like your child to play but cost is a concern, please check the box on the registration form to be considered for the Enrichment Scholarship.

STREAM in Our Backyard- Planetarium
STREAM in our Backyard continued this week as we welcome Challenger Learning Center's Mobile Planetarium. Mrs. Krissy Reetz presented our students with a stellar experience that brought space to life! Students even learned more about the upcoming Eclipse.
This opportunity was made possible by a grant from the Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo.

Kindergarten , 1st & 2nd Grade Generation Celebration

Please ask your child's grandparents & special senior friends to save the date. Students in Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade will be inviting these guests to share a Mass with them. We will request grandparent information to mail invitations in early April.

Living Stations of the Cross at DeSales
On Wednesday, March 27th at 9:40am, DeSales 6th & 7th grade students, directed by Mr. Paul Schuster, will enact the Living Stations of the Cross. Mrs. Jackie Davis and the DeSales Cantors will provide the music. All are welcome to join us as we remember the Passion of Christ.

DeSales Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame Nominations
DeSales Catholic School is seeking nominations for the DeSales Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame. To nominate a deserving friend or classmate of DeSales online visit: http://desalescatholicschool.org/Alumni or request a nomination form by calling Kim Knuutila, 716-433-6422 ext 407.
This recognition has been created to annually honor outstanding DeSales alumni, living or deceased, who have achieved distinction in their lives and careers after graduation. Bearing the motto "Enshrining Our Past, Ensuring Our Future," the Hall of Fame induction serves as the highest honor bestowed by DeSales Catholic School. Nominations are accepted year round, but must be received by April 30th to be considered for induction this year.
Nominees must be graduates of one of the Catholic schools affiliated with DeSales (DeSales High School, St. Joseph’s Academy, St. Mary's School, St. Patrick's School, St. John the Baptist School, Lockport Catholic School, or DeSales Catholic School), and are first eligible for selection fifteen calendar years following their class's graduation. Selection is based on the nominee's achievements in a variety of areas, such as their career and professional life, civic and community involvement, personal and family accomplishments, as well as their embodiment of the Catholic values taught by the school's patron, St. Francis de Sales.

Community Happenings
The YWCA of the Niagara Frontier’s Summer Day Camp is open to girls and boys ages 5-12 years old. Our camp will run 8 week long sessions starting on July 1st – August 23rd, 2024. Part-time is available. Our staff has integrated themes which incorporate arts and crafts, sports and recreation, dramatic arts and hands-on activities. Follow this link to find out how to register.
