Build the Habit of Good Attendance!!
Help spread the word about the importance of good attendance!! Please help reduce chronic absence and promote positive outcomes for our young scholars. We want you at school each day to learn as much as possible.
DID YOU KNOW?
- Starting in preschool and kindergarten, too many absences can cause children to fall behind in school.
- Missing 10%, or about 2 days each month over the course of a school year, can make it harder to learn to read.
- Being late to school may lead to poor attendance.
- Absences and tardiness can affect the whole classroom if the teacher has to slow down learning to help children catch up.
Ultimately, attending school regularly helps children feel better about school and themselves. Start building good attendance habits in preschool so children can learn that going to school on time, every day is important. Eventually, good attendance will be a skill that will help children succeed in life.

What is Reading Literacy!
Reading literacy is the ability to understand and use those written language forms required by society and/or valued by society. Readers can construct meaning from texts in a variety of forms. They read to learn, participate in communities of readers in school and everyday life, as well as for enjoyment.
Parents don't forget to encourage scholars to read at home!!
Please do not hesitate to contact me, as I am here to support you.
