Tomorrow is the day! The first day of the 2024-2025 school year. We can't wait to welcome our Bulldogs back! Please be sure to complete the Daily Dismissal Transportation Form below so we can make sure we know how our Bulldogs are getting home the first day and beyond.

We will not take walk up registrations on the first day of school. If you have any questions or need help registering please reach out to Bivian Garza, Bertram Registrar, at BGarza@BurnetCISD.net or by calling (512) 355-2111.

Parents will be allowed to walk their child through the building and to the classroom door on the first 3 days of school (August 14, 15, and 16) between 7:15-7:40. We ask that parents say goodbye in the hallway and allow students to enter the room independently.

Beginning August 19th, parents wishing to walk a student to the cafeteria will need to check in at the office and present a photo ID. The front office opens at 7:25am.

A few reminders:

• In the morning, students may exit the car onto the curb. Please pull forward in the line to help maximize the number of cars able to unload at a time.
• In the morning, please do not drop students off in the parking lot or across the street. If you do not want to wait in the line please park and walk your student across the crosswalk.
• In the afternoon, please pull up to the front of line when in the PreK-2nd grade line. This will allow us to load as many cars as possible.
• Please hang up your Car Rider Pro tag on the mirror. Having your Car Rider tag helps speed up the line.
• School zones are cell phone free zones. This includes our parking lot. Thank you for helping keep our kids safe!
  

Last year's Car Rider Pro tags will work for the 2024-2025 school year.

If you are new to Bertram Elementary or have lost your tag, please visit the Car Rider Pro table located in the Cafeteria during Meet the Teacher.

• Bertram Elementary doors open at 7:15am. The school day begins at 7:40am. The tardy bell rings at 7:45am.
• Students planning to eat breakfast at school should arrive by 7:35am. If your student arrives to school after 7:35am, please be sure he/she eats breakfast at home.
• Visitors are not able to join our students for breakfast.
• After 7:25, students who have already eaten breakfast prior to arriving at school will report directly to their classroom.
• Stay in your car! The teachers on duty will assist with the unloading of your student. If you prefer to unload your child, please park in a parking spot and walk your child up to the doors using the crosswalk.
• The only "walk-ups" allowed will be families who are truly walking to school from their home. To ensure your child arrives to the campus safely, please walk your student up to the campus rather than sending him/her to walk alone. The back doors on campus are for bus riders. The front doors are for car riders and walkers.
• If you arrive after the 7:45 bell, you will need to walk your student inside the building and check him/her in. Please do not send the child in alone.

SPECIAL NOTE FOR PreK STUDENTS: All PreK students will report directly to the cafeteria each morning. PreK classes will eat breakfast together at 8am.

Beginning August 19, 2024, we welcome parents/families for lunch during your child's regularly scheduled lunch times.

• Visitors must be listed in Skyward as a family member or contact to be allowed to eat with a student
• Lunch visitors must sit at designated areas & tables during lunch time.
• Students with lunch visitors may not invite classmates/friends to sit at the visitors' table.
• Any outside lunch brought to enjoy with your student may not be shared with other students at any time due to state nutrition guidelines and requirements.

Submit an email on the same day as the transportation change request by 1:30 p.m. to ber-transportation@burnetcisd.net.

Include the following details in the email:

• Student’s full name
• Student’s grade level
• Student’s homeroom teacher
• The transportation change you want made for today (bus rider to car rider or car rider to bus rider)
• 
  

Requests made after 1:30pm will not be processed. Notes, phone calls, text messages and emails sent to any other email will not be processed.

BCISD Transportation is excited to launch our newest way to keep you informed about your Student's Bus Route this upcoming school year.

Stopfinder is the all-in-one, easy to use app for viewing and sharing your student's transportation schedule. The app allows you to view your student's daily transportation assignments, receive notifications and updates related to transportation and send private messages to the Transportation Department. The app also allows you to securely share your student's schedule with caregivers and others.

In order to use the Stopfinder App, you will receive an invitation from the Transportation Department. Invitations are sent out periodically to parents or guardians of students for whose Stopfinder accounts have not yet been activated. ***Before contacting the Transportation Department, check your email box for an invitation email with the follow details:
