Fall Book Fair
When: Thursday, Sept. 5th from 5:00 to 7:30 pm ONLY
Where: Scott Learning Commons
The Scott School Book Fair will take place during the Block Party on Thursday, September 5 (5:00 pm - 7:30 pm). We can’t wait for our students to experience our upcoming book fair! Thank you for helping to inspire a lifelong love of reading. It truly means the world.
We are looking for volunteers to help set up the book fair along with lots of help during the fair. If you can help, please sign up here. As a thank you, all volunteers will receive one free book! If you have any questions please contact Kendra Schroder (kendrajo13@gmail.com).
Fall Block Party
Join us on the Scott School Blacktop for a super fun-filled night, including carnival games, activities by the Eagle Academy of Martial Arts, DJ'ing by Bach to Rock, raffles + auctions, and food trucks including Taco Shop, Go Doggy Run Concessions, and Kona Ice! Click here for the flier.
You can pre-pay for activity passes and raffle tickets through Wednesday, September 4th using CheddarUp, or you can purchase in-person at the event on Thursday, September 5th using cash, check, or CheddarUp.
- Why pre-pay? Your tickets will be available for pickup at the raffle/ticket table on the day of the event, and you can start your fun right away!
- What are the raffle tickets and activity passes for?
---- 50/50 raffle
---- Raffle for a chance for your child to pie a VIP staff member in the face
---- Activity passes to play the games/activities (inflatable basketball, carnival games, giant Connect 4, and more!)
- How much do the raffle tickets and activity passes cost?
---- 50/50 raffle and pie a staff member: $2/ticket, or $10 for 6 tickets, or $20 for 14 tickets
---- Activity passes: $5 per child
- What if I just want to make a donation to Scott Home and School? Great, you can do that through CheddarUp too! There will be an option to add a donation amount of your choice.
We will also have an online silent auction at the block party. Simply scan a provided QR code for the items you want to bid on, which include various prizes or experiences for your students to do with teachers and staff. If you win, a Home and School representative will reach out to you after to notify you of your prize and arrange payment, which will be collected through CheddarUp as well.
Please note: Food vendors who will be on site charge individually for items purchased at their truck/cart, please plan accordingly.
We can't wait to celebrate the start of the school year with you at our Block Party!!
Note: Any bank fees incurred by a returned check for any reason will be the responsibility of the check writer.

Fall Running Club
Happy Fall Parents!
Running club will be starting soon! My name is Megan FitzPatrick. I teach Kindergarten at Scott School and am the Running Club coordinator for 2nd-5th grade students..
On Wednesdays, Running Club will be in the morning from 7:25-7:55 am. On Thursdays, Running Club will be from 2:30-3:15 pm. Please make sure your child can be picked up on time at 3:15pm each week. We will be doing 20-30 minutes of continuous walking/running each session, as well as stretches and stationary exercises.
If parents/guardians are interested in helping out then we can run through Scott School neighborhood during our Thursday session. If you are interested in helping out with Running Club on Thursdays please email me directly to volunteer.
If your child would like to participate in our Running Club please fill out the form below. There will be a total of 8 sessions for the Fall Running Club season. There will also be Running Club in the spring. Please fill out the form by Friday, September 13th. Again, this is only for students in grades 2-5.
Running Club Dates: 9/18, 9/19, 9/25, 9/26, 10/2, 10/3 and 10/16, 10/17
