Dear Fitzgerald Elementary Community,
Welcome back and a very happy new year to each and every one of you! We hope you had a fantastic break and are ready for an exciting start to 2024. It's wonderful to see the return of our students and we're looking forward to a fantastic term ahead.
As we start this new year, it's important to note that mid-year testing is coming up. These assessments will measure your child's progress up to this point and are scheduled for specific dates and windows. Please reach out to your child's classroom teacher for detailed information. Additionally, we have included a link in this letter where you can find more information about each assessment and its purpose. We are proud to share that our students have consistently demonstrated above-average performances when compared to their same-aged peers elsewhere. We are excited to see their progress and share the results with you.
We must also emphasize the importance of attendance. We have made great strides in improving attendance, and this is clearly reflecting in our students' academic performance. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to you for your support in this endeavor. Please continue to ensure that your child attends school every day and arrives on time to make the most of their educational experience.
As we look ahead to 2024, there are many great things to accomplish together. We are committed to fostering a strong sense of community, providing enriching experiences, and thriving together to ensure the best possible outcomes for our scholars.
