Lots of first time individual Regional Champions! Samika's 100 Back gold was a huge personal best. Ashlynn's 100 Fly gold was a big drop and personal best, and Josef's 100 Breast gold was also a huge personal best. Ricky's 200 Free gold was an HC school record, Region 8 record, AND pool record!
Ashlynn, Justin, Angel, and Samika all qualified for state with individual silver medals, and also won a few individual bronze medals along with Lilly and Ricky.
Kathryn, Emma, Lilly, and Frankie showed a lot of grit with their finals and consolation finals swims. Ari Williams also finished 11th overall in diving.
The relays were also amazing! Samika, Angel, Ashlynn, and Kathryn qualified for state in two relays, finishing 2nd in the 200 Medley Relay and 1st in the 400 Free Relay. Ricky, Josef, Justin, and Om also qualified for state in two relays, finishing 2nd in both the 200 and 400 Free Relays.
We're so proud of all the big jumps in performances, and the amount of resilience they showed through both prelims and finals. This small team does big things! On to the State Championship!
