Weekly Cougar Happenings
October 16, 2020
Message from Principal McKillop
This week, we were excited to welcome to campus all students in the gold cohort who elected to join us for in-person learning.
We are also excited to continue engaging with students who have elected to participate in remote learning. Even though some us of are not together in-person on our learning journey, we truly are a strong and resilient community.
On Wednesday, our school administered the SAT to seniors who did not have the opportunity to take it in person last spring. On Saturday, October 17, we are offering the PSAT in our building to the students who have registered.
We are excited that the Mental Health Trilogy will kick off next week with a viewing of The Upstanders. Please see more important information about this below.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Heather

Freshman Interviews
School counselors are eager to get to know the 9th graders and have been visiting TASC Homerooms to introduce themselves and orient them to the types of supports they provide. From counseling around personal/social issues to career planning to academic advising, our counselors are here to support all students. Counselors have asked 9th graders to complete a Freshman Profile through the school counseling Google Classroom that will help to inform discussion during a freshman meeting that counselors are beginning to schedule.

Running Start Program
From Patrick McGinnis, Dual Enrollment Coordinatore at Nashua Community College
Thank you for your patience as we prepare to rollout the new RS registration system. We hope to have students start registering next week. I will send out the link to the site and “classroom presentation” video once they are live. Students will need to create an account to register. Parents do not need an account in order to sign off (if the student is a minor). A student will register for a course and then it will go to the classroom teacher for approval. If a student needs a CCSNH Chancellor’s scholarship and/or the school district will pay for the course, [Mrs. Kiley] will have the opportunity to approve them.
