Battle of the Books

We have many students participating in the Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB) this year. Students in 3rd-8th grade are invited to participate in this academic competition. To prepare students read books, lots of books. Then they form teams and answer questions to earn points. During the month of February our Battle of the Book teams will be competing. Families are welcome to attend and watch their students.

Family Teacher Conferences

Warm Springs K-8 Academy teachers will be available for conferences on Thursday, February 27th from 4-6 pm. Teachers will be in their classrooms. No need to schedule a time to meet with the teacher, please drop in and connect with your student's teacher(s).

Need to change how your student gets home at the end of the day? Call before 2 pm.

If you need to change your students end of the day transportation please call our office at 541-553-1128 before 2 pm. After this time our office staff organizes and delivers messages to students. We appreciate your help with this because our office staff needs enough time to ensure all messages are delivered to students before dismissal.

We Want to Grow our Native Language Program

WSK8 is looking for Native Language educational assistants who are interested in partnering with our kindergarten teachers to expand access for students to learn native language in the kindergarten classroom throughout the school day. Applicants must be enrolled in a K-8 teacher education program and Native Language program.

Family Access Network

FAN advocates work with ALL families with children birth through graduation. They are here for you in all circumstances. If you have needs around clothing, school supplies, food, rent or utility help, or enrolling in Oregon Health Plan, please reach out to your FAN advocate. Advocates have offices in your child’s school and are available via phone, email or text. Their goal is to make sure that your child has everything they need to be ready to learn.

Attention all Athletes -- Please Return your Uniforms from Past Seasons

If you have any school athletic uniforms at home from previous seasons, please make sure to send them to school with your student or drop them by the office.

Winter & Spring Middle School Athletics

Girls Basketball and Wrestling are in full swing during the month of February. Check out their schedules and come cheer on the teams!

Middle School Track and Field sign ups will take place in March with practices starting in April. If you have a student that is interested in joining the team this year, make sure they have a current physical on file and the necessary paperwork completed. The paperwork can be found in our athletic handbook and copies are in the office.
