Dear MHS Parents and Students,
This is our final week of the 2024-25 School Year. It has been a privilege working with our students and families. We wish you all a restful and fun filled summer vacation.
Reminders for the week:
- Good Luck to our Track Athletes at the State Competition this Week. Go Rebels!!
- Don't forget to complete the re-verification process. See details below.
- Final Exams for Sophomores and Juniors will be May 21st - 3rd and 4th blocks and May 22nd - 1st and 2nd block; Students will turn in laptops and chargers on May 22nd.
- May 22nd will be a half day, with dismissal at 11:55am. Buses will not run until 3:25, so any student who needs to ride the bus will wait in the library until they arrive.
- Beginning Monday, May 19th, C and B lots will be taken over by the construction project. All juniors that have parking decals for C lot will park in the A lot student spaces. All juniors who are parked at the old CO parking lot will continue to park in their current assigned spot. All juniors who are parking in the gravel lot should continue to park in their assigned area.
- Save the Date - Miles for Maryville - August 23,2025. See below for registration info.
- We welcome Rising Sophomores on Wednesday, May 21st for a tour, school pictures, a few games - and the Sophomore class picture. We can't wait to meet you!
- Summer School begins Tuesday, May 27th. Parents should have received a phone call or letter should their student need to attend. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the counseling office.
Senior Parents: Important information!
- Check your auto replenish settings on your student's lunch account!
- Diploma pick up and Gown drop off - Monday, May 19th - 10am-1pm in the Gym Lobby.
- Graduating seniors take note! Pellissippi State is making advising appointments now for the fall semester. Attached are the instructions on how you can schedule your advising and orientation appointments. You can use either the My Pellissippi or Navigate account. Need assistance? RETURNING Student Verification
Who is considered a Returning Student?
A returning student is any student who attended Maryville City schools during the 2024-2025 school year and either:
- Resides within the city limits of Maryville OR
- Has been previously enrolled as an out-of-district student.

Who needs to complete the Returning Student Verification?
Parents of all students enrolled in Maryville City Schools during the 2024-2025 school year will receive an email once the Returning Student Verification process opens on April 14, 2025. This process must be completed for any student returning to Maryville City Schools for the 2025-2026 school year.
We kindly ask that all families complete the required steps by the last day of school, May 22, 2025.
If a student will not be returning due to relocation or enrollment elsewhere, the first question in the online process will allow you to indicate this. Please contact Rhonda Elkins at Rhonda.Elkins@maryville-schools.org to begin the withdrawal process.
