Welcome back! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and some restful time off.
Congratulations to Oliver Lampson for placing 1st chair out of 40 in the Area Competition on Saturday and advancing to the All-State level! Oliver is now a 3 year All-Stater, and will travel to San Antonio in February and perform with one of the All-State organizations.
Students will sign up for UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest starting on Tuesday. Students going to this event need to bring $12 per event (cash or checks payable to “Clear Lake HS Band” by Friday January 12. We will again host this event on February 3.
This week, the Winter Guard will continue working on their contest show on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
The 5th Orlando trip payment is due in the amount of $325 by Friday, January 19. All students going on the trip should have paid at least $1625 by that date. We will sign up for rooms starting on that date, and only students that are up to date on payments will be allowed to sign up.
On Saturday, January 20, we will be starting a new tradition for Clear Lake HS Band. Our first “Megaband” will perform, comprised of all the current CLHS students, as well as our future Falcons from all 4 of our Intermediate feeder organizations. We will meet that day and work on some fun music, enjoy each other’s company, and then have a performance for friends and family at the end. Please keep a lookout for more information soon!
